The following terms provide additional details regarding Avow’s appraisal, insurance, care, repair, and craftsmanship practices and apply to jewelry purchased from Avow Designs LLC.

1. Inspection Upon Delivery

Clients should inspect jewelry promptly upon receipt.

If your jewelry arrives damaged, appears materially different from the approved order, or you believe there may be an issue with its manufacture or craftsmanship, please contact Avow Designs LLC as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Photographs or other documentation may be requested so that Avow can evaluate the concern before the jewelry is returned.

These Care & Service Terms do not modify any separate return, exchange, custom-order, shipping, or final-sale policies applicable to your purchase.

2. Independent Appraisals

Avow currently includes an independent professional appraisal with individual jewelry purchases of $5,000 or more.

For qualifying purchases, the appraisal is included as part of Avow’s client service and has no separately redeemable cash value.

For individual jewelry purchases under $5,000, an independent professional appraisal may be added for $195.

Appraisals are performed by an independent third-party appraiser and not by Avow Designs LLC. The independent appraiser is responsible for their professional opinions, descriptions, valuation methodology, and conclusions.

Appraised values are not guarantees of resale value, future value, market value, insurance eligibility, insurance coverage, or the amount an insurer may pay in the event of a claim.

Avow may modify appraisal pricing, eligibility, providers, or included services for future purchases.

3. Gemstone Reports and Certifications

Certain diamonds and gemstones may be accompanied by grading or laboratory documentation from an independent gemological laboratory.

A gemstone grading report is not an appraisal of the completed jewelry.

Independent laboratories are responsible for their own grading opinions, reports, and conclusions.

4. Jewelry Insurance

Avow strongly recommends obtaining appropriate insurance for valuable jewelry promptly upon taking possession.

Clients may wish to explore specialized jewelry insurance providers such as Jewelers Mutual.

Any insurance policy is a separate agreement between the client and insurer. Avow Designs LLC is not affiliated with or responsible for an insurer’s underwriting decisions, policy terms, coverage limits, deductibles, exclusions, replacement provisions, claims decisions, or benefits.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Avow does not provide insurance coverage for client jewelry after delivery and does not act as a substitute for jewelry insurance.

Loss, theft, mysterious disappearance, accidental damage, loss or damage of gemstones, and similar events should be addressed through the client’s own insurance coverage when applicable.

5. Wear, Damage & Loss

Avow does not provide a blanket warranty covering normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, loss, theft, or other events occurring after delivery.

Fine jewelry naturally experiences wear over time.

Conditions that are not automatically considered defects in workmanship include, but are not limited to:

• scratches, dents, surface wear, or changes in finish;

• bent or misshapen rings, settings, or components;

• worn, bent, broken, or damaged prongs;

• loose, chipped, scratched, cracked, broken, or lost gemstones;

• broken or stretched chains;

• damage caused by impact, pressure, improper wear, accidents, chemicals, environmental exposure, or inadequate maintenance;

• loss or theft of part or all of a piece of jewelry; and

• ordinary maintenance associated with wearing fine jewelry.

The presence of one of these conditions does not necessarily indicate a manufacturing or craftsmanship issue.

6. Craftsmanship Concerns

Avow stands behind the quality of the jewelry we provide.

If you believe an Avow piece has an issue related to its original manufacture or craftsmanship, please contact us so we can evaluate it.

Avow does not promise automatic repair, replacement, reimbursement, or other compensation for every reported issue.

Each concern is evaluated individually based on the nature and condition of the jewelry, its age, wear, maintenance history, circumstances surrounding the issue, and any other information reasonably relevant to determining its cause.

If Avow determines that a concern is attributable to the original manufacture or craftsmanship of the piece, Avow may, at its discretion and as appropriate under the circumstances, arrange repair, adjustment, replacement, or another reasonable resolution.

7. Maintenance & Repairs

Avow may assist with inspection, maintenance, resizing, refinishing, repair, or other service for jewelry originally purchased from Avow Designs LLC.

Unless Avow expressly agrees otherwise in writing, maintenance and repair services are not complimentary.

If paid work is recommended, Avow will provide an estimate or obtain the client’s approval before proceeding with material paid repair work.

Some repairs require physical inspection before the full extent of the necessary work can be determined. Estimates may therefore change if previously unseen conditions are discovered.

8. Jewelry Purchased Elsewhere

At this time, Avow’s repair and maintenance coordination services are reserved for jewelry purchased from Avow Designs LLC.

Avow generally does not accept responsibility for repairing, altering, storing, transporting, or servicing jewelry purchased from other jewelers.

Any exception is made solely at Avow’s discretion and must be agreed to in advance.

9. Work Performed by Other Jewelers

If an Avow piece has been resized, repaired, altered, refinished, reset, or otherwise serviced by another jeweler or third party, Avow may be unable to determine the cause of a subsequent issue or verify the condition of the original workmanship.

Third-party service does not necessarily eliminate Avow’s willingness to assist you. However, Avow is not responsible for damage, alterations, workmanship, or other issues caused by or arising from work performed by another person or business.

Third-party alterations may affect Avow’s ability to evaluate or provide assistance regarding the affected portion of the jewelry.

10. Sending Jewelry to Avow for Service

Please contact Avow and receive return instructions before sending jewelry to us for inspection, maintenance, repair, or evaluation.

Do not mail or ship jewelry to Avow without prior authorization.

Shipping valuable jewelry carries inherent risk. Clients may be required to follow specific packaging, shipping, tracking, signature, and insurance procedures when returning jewelry.

Unless Avow expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the client is responsible for properly packaging and fully insuring jewelry while it is being shipped to Avow.

Avow is not responsible for jewelry lost, stolen, damaged, or misdirected before it has been confirmed as received by Avow.

Shipping arrangements and responsibility for return shipping following service will be communicated based on the circumstances of the service.

11. Service Availability

Avow works with independent manufacturers, jewelers, setters, appraisers, and other specialists. As a result, service availability, pricing, and turnaround times may vary.

Avow cannot guarantee that every piece can be repaired, restored, resized, refinished, or altered.

Certain designs, gemstones, materials, construction methods, or conditions may limit available service options.

12. Changes to These Terms

Avow Designs LLC may update its appraisal, insurance, care, and service policies from time to time.

The terms applicable to a particular transaction or service will be those applicable to that transaction, together with any additional terms agreed to in writing.
