Returns & Exchanges

Every Avow Designs piece is made or selected with care. As a small, made-to-order fine jewelry company, many purchases require us to commit funds specifically to your piece. Our return policy reflects the nature of these commitments and the individual production of our jewelry.

Ready-to-Ship Jewelry

Jewelry designated Ready to Ship at the time of purchase may be returned within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery, provided it has not been worn, customized, engraved, altered, or damaged. 

Returns are subject to a 10% return fee. There is no fee for an eligible exchange for an item of equal or higher value.

To request a return or exchange, please contact ashlen@avowdesigns.com within the 7-day return period, and before shipping your item.

Returned pieces must be in their original condition and include all original packaging, boxes, and materials. Returns will be inspected upon receipt before a refund or exchange is approved.

Return Shipping & Refunds

Clients are responsible for return shipping. All returns must be trackable and fully insured for their purchase value. The client is responsible for the piece until it is safely delivered to Avow Designs. Avow Designs is not responsible for packages lost, damaged, or stolen while in return transit.

Avow Designs offers complimentary shipping on completed purchases. If an eligible item is returned for a refund, the actual original shipping cost incurred by Avow Designs will be deducted from the refund, in addition to the applicable 10% return fee.

For example, if a $1,000 purchase is returned and Avow Designs incurred $45 in original shipping costs, the refund would be calculated as:

$1,000 purchase − $100 return fee (10%) − $45 original shipping cost = $855 refund.

The client is also responsible for the cost of insured return shipping.

For an eligible exchange, there is no 10% return fee. The client is responsible for insured shipping back to Avow Designs, and Avow Designs will provide complimentary shipping of the replacement piece.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment after the returned item has been received, inspected, and approved.

To initiate a return or exchange, please contact ashlen@avowdesigns.com within the applicable return period before shipping your item. Once your return is approved, Avow Designs will provide the return shipping address and instructions.

Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Gifts With Purchase

If an order included a complimentary gift with purchase, the gift must also be returned unused, in its original condition and with all original packaging, gift boxes, and included materials in order to receive the full applicable refund.

If the gift with purchase is not returned, has been used, or is not returned in its original condition and packaging, the stated retail value of the gift will be deducted from the refund amount.

Made-to-Order Jewelry

All made-to-order jewelry is final sale.

When a piece is made to order, Avow Designs commits and pays for its production specifically for your purchase and cannot return the finished piece to our manufacturer.

This includes jewelry produced specifically for your order, as well as modifications to a standard design, sizing, engraving, stone changes, or other requested alterations.

If a particular piece is designated Ready to Ship at the time of purchase, the Ready-to-Ship return policy above applies instead.

Full-Custom Jewelry

All full-custom jewelry is final sale.

The $400 + tax custom design deposit is non-refundable and is applied toward the final purchase price. This deposit covers the initial costs of design, CAD, and 3D printing and is not an additional charge beyond the quoted price.

If a client places a deposit but no design work has begun, the deposit may instead be applied toward the purchase of another Avow Designs item.

Throughout the custom design process, you will have opportunities to review and approve your piece before final production. If the finished piece has a manufacturing defect or materially differs from the design you approved, please contact us so we can address the issue.

Center Stones

Once a center stone is purchased for a client, the diamond or gemstone is non-refundable.

Viewing of a purchased diamond or gemstone by mail may be arranged prior to final production. Shipping, insurance, return requirements, and applicable credits will be provided in writing when the viewing is arranged.

Delivery & Signature Required

For the protection of your jewelry, Avow Designs fine jewelry shipments are sent signature required.

Someone must be available to sign for the package. When available through the carrier, clients may also arrange to have their shipment held at an eligible carrier location for pickup at their convenience.

Inspection Upon Delivery

Please inspect your jewelry promptly upon delivery. If your order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item, or you notice a potential manufacturing issue, please contact ashlen@avowdesigns.com within 48 hours of delivery and include photos of the item and packaging when applicable.

Prompt notification allows us to document the condition of the shipment and address any issues as quickly as possible.

Policy Updates

Avow Designs LLC reserves the right to update or modify this Returns & Exchanges Policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of purchase will apply to that purchase.
